Minecraft: Dungeons is an upcoming action adventure rpg video game in the Minecraft series developed by a Mojang team in Stockholm, Sweden, and will be published on PC by Microsoft. Currently, the game is suggested to be released in 2019.
The main antagonist will be the Arch-Illager, who has enslaved villagers. Players' main objective is to defeat the Arch-Illager and save the villagers.
Claimed to be inspired by classic dungeon crawler games, players will constantly discover new weapons and items that are used to fend off against monsters. Players will traverse canyons, swamps, and mines on a quest to defeat the Arch-Illager.
Players can play alone or with up to a group of four players.
Unlike the building Minecraft game, players are not able to build structures, and mining and crafting are not the main focus of the game and is implied to have a lower significance with general gameplay.
